Happy Groundhog Day everyone! Groundhog day was made special to me by the film with the same name starring Bill Murray. One really neat thing about the movie is that it was written, directed (and had a small cameo) by Harold Ramis. Harold Ramis is also better known as Dr. Egon Spengler of the Ghostbusters. I watched Groundhog day today and realized that their love scenes were much less risque than I remember them being. Funny how time does that. 🙂
And so this morning, the famous rodent of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania declared that he saw his shadow!

This means that we will be looking at 6 more weeks of winter. However, if that means 6 more weeks of what we have been experiencing, then we might as well call it spring! Yesterday, I went outside with the dogs at lunch in our backyard. There, in our little sapling of a tree, was a bird singing a springy tune! I was like, “Shoo bird, it’s February! You must be crazy!” (maybe I was the crazy one, considering I was arguing with a bird!)Anyway, maybe this means we might get at least one snow this year. Here’s to hoping!
