Awesome Agenda of Aims and Accomplishments

As my readers may know, before I heard about the A to Z challenge, I had already decided to do some Spring Cleaning in my life (so I had to pull out the Thesaurus to make this first one fit, but they won’t all be like this).  The goal for last week was to make out a list of 8 challenges, one for each week until Memorial Day, to accomplish, reorganize or tidy in my life.  So here is the list!Week #1 – Switch out winter clothes with summer clothes and give the clothes I don’t need to charityWeek #2 – No Multi-Tasking; On the first day, focus on one action at a time for one hour, and then add another hour the next day, so that by Saturday you will not multitask for 7 hours.

Week #3 – Learn to let go.  I’m a people pleaser and I hold onto bitterness in situations where I could not please the other person.  Learn techniques about how to let go in these types of situations, and be ok with say no or disappointing others.

Week #4 – Read through the book of Psalms

Week #5 – Organize the junk closet.  Give things to charity.

Week #6 – No TV for one week

Week # 7 – Try one de-stressing tactic each day

Week #8 – Spend quiet time for 30 minutes each day

So, some of these are daily activities, others are one big project, and still others are more of a soul-searching type thing that doesn’t really have an easy timeline to it.  I thought I would start easy by switching out the winter clothes to the summer clothes.  The highs are in the 70s and 80s right now, so I’m ready for some short sleeves and Capri pants!

Hope you have a great week!

  1. Wow, you have inspired me. Blogging each day is a huge challenge for me. You are adding actual assignments through them. It’s a wonderful idea. I look forward to hearing “B” 🙂

    • Well, that’s just for today. I had planned to write about my “Spring-Cleaning” weeks a little while ago, but then I wanted to do the challenge as well. The other blogs will be different than the one today. Although, I will update these Spring Cleaning goals every Sunday.

  2. Thanks for visiting me for the A-Z challenge and your kind comment. I love your eight week adventure you are embarking upon! I can’t imagine though not multitasking like that. I think I’m the queen of that, but I admire you for trying it!! Psalms is absolutely one of my favorite books in the Bible; could read them over and over and over again. I’m sure that will be a great week for you too! Good luck with it all!

    • Thank you so much for visiting my page! I am looking forward to my different challenges. I think I’m absolutely addicted to multitasking! And I love to read David’s heart in the Psalms. He was such a vivid writer. 🙂

  4. Wow! Your list puts me to shame (thought I’m not much of a goal-setting list-making girl…still I’m really impressed). Excited to hear how it goes. Will you be posting weekly updates?
