After the sewing fiasco, Monday’s interest was home decor craft. I love to do little crafts around the house, but especially for upcoming holidays. I chose to do a simple yarn wreath for the Fourth of July. I got the yarn at Walmart, and I chose to use a Styrofoam wreath this time, instead of a straw wreath I’ve used in previous projects.
I don’t think using a Styrofoam wreath is easier. It gives a different look to the wreath. Straw wreaths are more round, whereas this wreath had square edges. I think it just depends on the project. Also, I’m not sure how well this wreath will stand the test of time, but we shall see. If I need to make it again in the future, it should be pretty easy.
Then Tuesday’s interest was the most dangerous of all interests….baking. I had so many choices on Pinterest to choose, but decided to go easy with this yummy Snickerdoodle muffin. Oh my goodness, people, this muffin is amazing. See, I love soft Snickerdoodle cookies, but they always seem to harden after a day. In muffin form, they can stay soft and simply divine.
Oh, and I have to give a shout out to this little “kitchen gadget” (it’s not really a gadget, but I can’t think of another word to describe it). I got it at The Container Store, well my husband got it for me last year at Easter. It’s a nice little flip book to put printed off recipes in while I cook.
Hope you are having a great week!
