Our Labor Day was a little more relaxed than other holidays we celebrate. It started, really, Friday morning with our A/C going out, again. However, this time it was different. This time it got fixed right away, and I shared the story on my Facebook.
Saturday, we went to the football game for Michael’s friend’s son, which I talked about yesterday. Then, on Sunday, we went to church and then worked in the yard. We haven’t been able to work in the yard that much this summer, so the weeds were crazy. I didn’t get any pictures of the before, but just picture it covered in snake-like grass.
As far as the vegetable garden, we did get a few cucumbers before the plant dried up, however the tomato plant has flourished and taken over one side of the garden. We learned a lot about bunny protection this year, so next year the garden will be even better.
On actual Labor day, we spent the day just relaxing in the morning. We went out for a little shopping, but it was just groceries and things like that. We did finish the gardens, though. Then, we had some friends over. We grilled steaks and corn, and I made potatoes. They brought over brownies and ice cream. So delish!
I kept having to remind myself that it was not Saturday, but Monday. Hope everyone got as restful a weekend as we did!
