So, last Sunday (right before the food poisoning debacle) I attended a sweet baby shower for my friend Andra.
I was part of the hostesses at this shower. The other hostesses are so beautiful and quite talented!
I was put in charge of making the diaper cake. If you don’t know what a diaper cake is, basically it’s a bunch of diapers put into the shape of a cake. Then, it’s decorated really cute. Most cakes can get very expensive, but I found a way to make one under $25. Here are the supplies and the finished product:
40 ct of diapers
Double Stick Tape
Empty Food Container
I wrapped the diapers around the food container and tied the elastic around the diapers. Then, I put different pink and cream ribbons around the elastic and secured with double stick tape. At the top, I rolled the washcloths on top into roses as seen here.
The neatest thing about using the food container is that you can fill it with whatever goodies you want. I put fun size M&Ms as a treat. It was so fun to make, and the shower was amazing. I look forward to meeting Andra’s little one next month!
