What I’ve been up to lately

I have a confession.

I’ve been a bit misleading.

Please forgive me.

The last two weeks, my husband and I went on that special trip to celebrate our 5th anniversary (which is in December, but we decided to celebrate early).  We went to France and Italy for about a week and a half.  It was amazing.

I’ve been going back and forth about how I want to blog about it.  I kept a journal throughout the trip, but then I’ve been thinking of just giving an overview of the whole trip in one blog entry.   The jet lag has been incredible this week, and I’ve had a lot of catch up at work and my volunteer stuff  (plus Halloween!).  In addition to that, we have a lot of stuff coming up these next few weeks that a) I want to blog about of course and b) will take up a lot of the time I would normally use to blog.  I am literally too busy to blog, which I can’t say that has always been the case.

So, I decided I will give an overview, picking out my top ten favorite pictures to share with you.  Expect that before the end of this week.

And, so I don’t leave you today with a completely picture-less blog, here’s what we did for Halloween.

The day we got back, we went to trunk or treat at our church (our small group won the most interactive trunk award for our hay ride!)

Then, on Halloween night, we gave out candy to the trick or treat-ers, and I got to wear my Halloween socks I found at Target!  They had owls on them!  We also made Hocus Pocus balls (which are the same recipe as Resurrection Rolls, I have found out, and you can find that recipe here).

How was your Halloween?
