Friday, we got up a little early to eat breakfast at Poor Richard’s. I didn’t get a picture of the food, but it was pretty typical IHOP diner breakfast stuff. I had pancakes and home fries. It was good for the price, and a great place to stop if you are headed into Dallas, but it’s not really my favorite.
Then, it was time to visit the Dallas Arboretum. It was gorgeous! They host weddings here a lot. They also have exhibits with different themes, like Alice in Wonderland,
Great explorers which debuted different destinations of famous explorers like Marco Polo and Lewis & Clark,
and Texas Pioneer Adventure.
I loved the Poetry Garden, Water Walls and the view of White Rock Lake. It was quite relaxing and beautiful. It also inspired me with ideas for our own gardens. Okay, maybe not an infinity pool or a huge water wall, but a girl can dream.
That night, my mom made my favorite dinner growing up – lasagna! It was SO good, as well as the strawberry shortcake for dessert!
Tomorrow will be the last post of my family’s visit. It was so sad as it was coming to a close. I love spending time with them!
