This week’s blog post is going to be quick. I am fostering another dog this week, and he is rambunctious! He’s the third foster I’ve had at home. The other two have been adopted already, so I’m hoping the magic will hold out for this pup too!
The last day of May I mentioned that I would be fasting from possession this month (from using the words “my” and “mine”). To tell you the truth, this has been incredibly hard. Not because I consciously want to use these words, but because they are so ingrained that I can’t tell sometimes if I’ve used them or not. There have been a lot of times when I’ve had to use the words to describe relationships (like one of the exceptions allows me to) so that it wouldn’t be confusing to pass along information quickly in conversation. It has definitely made me aware of just how often we use these words in everyday language. I’m glad that it has raised my awareness and helped me see the things in my life a little differently than before.
Well, the dog is laying in the grass, but I have a feeling that he won’t be for long. I’ll leave you with a picture of this crazy canine. Hope you have a great week!
