State Fair Day

Last Saturday, Michael and I headed to the State Fair of Texas.  We usually go earlier in the month and earlier in the day to avoid the crowds.  But then I found out that Skillet was playing on this particular night, so off we went.

We have a tradition every time we go to the State Fair.  First, we ride the giant Ferris Wheel, the Texas Star.

Then, we each pick a fried food to try.  Michael tried the cookie fries, which won most creative this year.  I tried the cannoli bites, which were pretty good, too.

The concert was extremely packed, but the show was pretty fun.  Whenever we hear that Skillet is playing in Dallas, we try to go.  This was probably our 3rd or 4th concert.

We got home super late, but we had a great time!

Do you have a State Fair near you?  Do you go, and if you do, do you have any traditions when you visit?
