November Favorites

I cannot believe how fast this month has flown by!  It’s already the Christmas season.  We came back into our neighborhood this past weekend and the whole neighborhood was decked out with Christmas decorations.  And it’s beautiful.  Soon I will be pulling out our own decorations, blasting the Christmas music, and beginning all of our December traditions myself!

But before the month of November ends, I wanted to share some things I loved this month.  The month, especially last week, was pretty hard for us, but there were some things I appreciated that I want to share with you.

I also wanted to let you know that I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.  These are all things I have used personally.  I wouldn’t recommend something I haven’t tried myself.  Thanks!

Clothing and Accessories

This is the Skechers Performance Women’s Go Walk Slip-On Walking Shoe.  I ordered these back in September because my previous gray slip on shoes had worn out (another Skechers shoe that I had for years).  I love having a super comfortable slip on shoe that I can just put on and go.  These are perfect!  I can wear them all day and be on my feet all day.  I am also clumsy and have weak ankles, plus I fell in a pothole when I was in middle school (because that’s normal in New Orleans) and hurt my knee.  So if I’m not in supportive shoes and I’m on my feet all day, I will feel it.  These shoes are the perfect solution.  They come in other colors, too.  You can buy them here: http://amzn.to/2fEo4V3

App

I don’t know if I’ve shared this app before, but I know I’ve told lots of friends about it.  This free app was developed by Proverbs 31 Ministries.  I found out about it last year when I was listening to an interview of Lysa TerKeurst, who is the president of Proverbs 31 Ministries.

Basically, this app will give you about a five minute devotional every Monday through Friday, and then a video recapping the week on Saturday.  There is even an alarm built into the app that can wake you up in the morning and present the devotional as the first thing you see that day.  The eventual goal is that every book in the bible will be studied.  One of my favorite parts of the study is the “More Moments” which goes even deeper into the text of that day and connects Old Testament stories and prophecies to the New Testament.  There is also a forum in the app that allows you to interact with other people using the devotional.  And they offer a workbook at the beginning of each Book of the Bible study that you can use to follow along (although that costs money).  You can be as involved as you want to be and go as deep as you want to go.  It’s an excellent resource, and I love using it!  You can find out more information here: http://first5.org

Food and Drink

20161107_190159For most of November, I’ve been sick.  I had a bad sinus infection at the beginning of this month, and it looks like I’m ending the month with another one.  Does anyone have recommendations for a good multivitamin that supports the immune system?  At this point, I’m all ears.

However, one thing that has gotten me through a lot of the coughing and hacking has been Teavana’s mint majesty tea.  Michael got me two containers for my birthday, and I have been enjoying it so much this month.

I use loose leaf tea because I have a diffuser and an electric kettle, but if you would like to try this tea at home, it does come in tea bags as well which  you can get it here: http://amzn.to/2gb4SCc

Those are all of the things I have been loving this month.  I still can’t believe the beginning of December is just two days away!  Christmas is almost here and before you know it, we will be celebrating the New Year!

What are some things you have been loving this month?  It doesn’t have to be in the above categories, either!  I love trying out new things!
