This past weekend was very busy for Michael and me. On Saturday, we went to a friend’s house for a game day for most of the afternoon. And on Sunday, we spent a lot of time with church family including morning service, an afternoon meeting, and game night that evening.
Another thing we enjoyed this weekend was a trip to the Perot Museum. Right now, through tomorrow, January 17th, they are hosting an exhibit of Giant Gems of the Smithsonian. A few years ago, we saw some of these gems at the Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., so it was neat to see them, plus others I hadn’t seen before. A lot of them were from Brazil, but there were also ones from Russia, Columbia, and other places.
Of course, we enjoyed seeing the rest of the museum as well. We went a few years ago for our anniversary around the time it opened, but it was neat to see the exhibits updated since then. Michael’s favorite exhibit hall is the Tom Hunt Energy Hall, mostly about oil and natural gas. He’s actually visit a few rigs for work, so he liked learning more about the process.
Here’s a video of our time there!
