I meant to get this out yesterday, but I got into an organizing mood around the house. When that happens, all bets are off until the project it finished. In fact, I’m starting on my book organization project from this month’s goals soon, so I’m hoping I can balance that with everything else going on in the next couple of weeks.
So last Saturday, Michael and I went to a fabulous party. It had rockets, cupcakes, and lots of kids. It was only the hippest 3 year old party we have been to this year. And it was for this little guy.
I can’t believe it’s been three years since Michael and I went over to their house to watch their two older boys while this one was born. I have so, so many precious memories with these friends, and I am honored to be a part of their life.
(The above picture was taken the day that Levi was born).
And then on Sunday, we attended the SPCA Volunteer Appreciation party. It was held at a Studio Movie Grill where we watched The Secret Life of Pets.
We had seen the movie before, but it’s definitely a great movie for a second viewing. It was awesome to spend time with the fellow volunteers. There was a slide show before of some of the dogs who had been adopted. There were little notes from the adoptive families next to a picture of the dogs. Captain Hook was one of them.
It was a great weekend to kick off a series of busy weeks! I’m thankful that I have such amazing friends and an amazing community to do life with!
