It’s the end of January already? Honestly, I’m kind of thankful that this month went as quickly as it did. Well, I go back and forth. With each day, I step deeper and deeper into unknown pregnancy territory. My anxiety increases as does my lack of desire to venture out during flu season (I wouldn’t mind that season to pass by a little quicker). But, it also means closer to the time I can deliver this little boy. Like I did for most of last year, I wanted to share a few favorites from this month.
Book of the Month
I have been on a serious book binge lately. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve spent a lot of time indoors lately, or if it’s just a season for reading, but instead of sharing all of the books I’ve read, I thought I would share my favorite. This month, it’s the Night Circus. I wrote a full review here, but I would definitely re-read this book. It’s just told so beautifully.
Baby-Related
I haven’t used a whole lot of baby/pregnancy items this month (I haven’t even done a registry yet, mostly due to my anxiety), but I still love my Bambeego heartbeat monitor. Since the first day of 14 weeks, anytime I have tried to find the heartbeat, I have, which has put my own anxious heart at ease.
Beauty-RelatedThe combination of the winter air and my hormones have left my head and scalp super dry (and curly, which I’ve never had curly hair in my life). So, I’ve been using this shampoo by OGX called Hydrating Tea Tree Mint. Now, I love all things mint, so the scent is wonderful. And I can tell a difference in my hair as well (although at some point, I’m going to have to venture to the salon to get it cut).
Food-Related
Speaking of mint, I’ve been enjoying a nice peppermint tea on especially cold nights. And I’ve been using the Celestial Seasonings Peppermint Tea which is simple and yummy. And I’ve also been indulging in some Girl Scout Thin Mints as well. They are the best right out of the freezer with a nice cold glass of milk!
What are some favorites you have been enjoying this month?
I also wanted to let you know that I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. These are all things I have used personally. I wouldn’t recommend something I haven’t tried myself. Thanks!
