DFS: Week 32 and a Trip to the Hospital

So, there wasn’t a blog post on Wednesday, and this was why.

I apologize ahead of time for the lack of energy in this video.  This has been quite an unexpected week.  I edited so many “umms” and moments where I just stared off into space.  But I’m looking forward to a restful weekend and more information next week!

How scary Katy! I’m glad it turned out to be an uneventful hospital stay for you but I’m sure your mind was racing the whole time you were admitted. My pregnancies are high risk as well and at 30 weeks I had a positive fetal fibronectin test at my MFM-which sent my emotions into overdrive. But I’ve made it to 36 weeks *praise the Lord* and start my NST today. I have a feeling you’ll be doing those tests weekly (they notified me that because oh my *ahem* age, that I have to do them weekly. It amazes me how there is still so much of pregnancy that is unknown by professionals and it really is a case by case basis. I’ve gotten a lot of the “well, we don’t really know what the means until we see XYZ test, or this could have happened in your first pregnancy and we just didn’t know about it…” it can be very frustrating. I’ve enjoyed keeping up with your journey and I’m cheering you on from the sidelines!

That sounds scary as well! I haven’t had that test done because I’m at pretty low risk for preterm labor. All of my losses were inuetero unexplained fetal demise, and I had to be induced with both stillbirths. It’s what makes all of this crazy, they don’t know what to look for! I’m glad you have made it to that 36 week milestone, and I hope it all goes well. 🙂
